Sorry my mistake I put the family name in the scientific name field.....I believe the correct scientific name is Gminatus australia based on the website. I think you captured this insect very nicely!
Thanks Annalisa, that looks a lot more like it and it's distribution is down to Victoria. I wished I'd been able to get a better shot of it's mouthparts - it looks crazy on the website pics!
Pristhesancus plagipennis is common assassin bug....your look like Gminatus wallengreni common name orange assassin bug....beautiful pic btw!
