Description:

no wider than 1" and about 1/2' from head to tail. "hiding" on heliconia

Habitat:

tropical dry forest of NW Costa Rica beginning of dry season

I think this might also be a Macaria sp., but I am not sure. Personally I do not think it is an Ameris sp. This one would usually not have this triangular hindwing and not so scalopped/falcated apices of the forewing. But I agree at first sight one might think of a Ametris nitocris.
