Field Notes

Description:

This jellyfish is not a single organism but composed of 4 minute zooids that perform different functions. One of them is a gas-filled bladder that allows it to float, one is for defence (venom filled tentacles), one for feeding and one for reproduction. They cannot live independently but together they can function as well as a unified organism.
