Thanks Martin, I'll keep checking in the garden over the next few days
It looks to me like a bug nymph (Hemiptera) and not a weevil, or a beetle at all. Nymphs often have exaggerated colors that they lose as they become adults. Colors are so distinctive that someone may recognize this. I would love to see other photos if you find some siblings.
