Field Notes

Description:

juvenile with a more cryptic and contrasting color pattern than those of adults, can get to 4.2" (107mm)

Habitat:

Found in Costa Rica and Panama in rainforests

Notes:

I found this normally secretive species resting right on the trail at El Copal Biological Reserve. I was pretty surprised to see it and also it was very cooperative and didn't hop anyway when I lied down in front of it to take some of these photos.
