Although I haven't been there for 50 years I'm sure Kandy is still a beautiful place. I'm so glad the people can do at least this much for these wonderful creatures. However we all must work out how to preserve some natural environment for them as well or keeping them alive might be ultimately pointless.

I visited Pinnawala many years ago - It's a wonderful place! I was lucky enough to have the opportunity of bottle feeding one of the very young ellies!
