Field Notes

Description:

A red leaf beetle with dark elytra patches and pronotal spots.

Habitat:

On Acacia (Black Wattle; Acacia mearnsii) in a nature reserve.

Notes:

Of course this photograph was set up.
The native flowers (Geraldton Wax; Chamelaucium uncinatum) come from my garden.
The wind was too strong for easy photography in the field.
