Species ID Suggestions

Comments (5)

I have information on a beetle from Thailand-Elytra Sternocera, belongs to the Buprestidae family. It is more textured than yours is smooth, but it is also iridescent. Great find!!
I know and that is why it is not an ID suggestion...but the similarities are interesting especially in some images...Flowerchafers come in such spectacolar colours...this one is wonderful. I hope you get a proper ID soon.
Thanks, SukanyaDatta, but ... An european beetle in Brazil? Also, Cetonia aurata have irregular marks, but in this beetle the surface is smooth as if it had been polished
Looks somewhat like Cetonia aurata, the Rose Flowerchafer. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cetonia_aurata
