Field Notes

Description:

About 25 cm long pigeon with dark blue body, greyish blue neck and lower part of the head. Eyes and top of the head are encircled with red orbital skin.

Habitat:

Praslin, Valle de Mar (Praslin) National Park.

Notes:

Apologies for the bad photo quality, but the bird IS pretty rare, and this pair was the only one I had a chance to photograph. Coco de Mer is pretty dark forest, and the sun was behind the birds.
Once again, I am sorry.
