Description:

The lavandulae Zygaena differs from other zigaenas by the five red spots of their wings edged with black circle on his metallic blue background and the white collar around his neck.----------------------------La Zygaena lavandulae se diferencia de otras zigaenas por las cinco manchas rojas de sus alas bordeadas con un círculo negro sobre su fondo azul metalizado, y el collarín blanco alrededor de su cuello.

El aposematismo:
Su llamada coloración aposemática, viene de "apo" que significa lejos, aparte y "sema": señal, pues alude a los rasgos llamativos a los sentidos que usan algunos organismos de la naturaleza para alejar a los depredadores.
