Description:

Dark brown butterfly with spots close together looking like two stripes per forewing.

Habitat:

Open, scrubby places including dry meadows, burned areas, dry prairie hills, powerline right-of-ways, etc.

Notes:

These can be difficult to identify because of seasonal variations. Spotted at Elinor Phipps-Klapp Park in Tallahassee, FL
