Description:

The spur-winged lapwing or spur-winged plover (Vanellus spinosus) is a lapwing species, one of a group of largish waders in the family Charadriidae.

Habitat:

Seen on the bank of the Kazinga Channel that joins Lake George and Lake Edward. SW Uganda.

Likes marshes and similar freshwater wetland habitats.
