Description:

Small heron with brownish - olive plumage, and dark grey head cap. Wing feathers are brownish with yellow margins.

Widespread in Seychelles; coasts, shallows, mangroove,...

Notes:

Bird previously known as green backed heron is now divided into three distinct species. This one is called striated heron, and is widespread throughout the old world.
