I asked Theo Prado to look at his shots again. Let's see what he means...

Take also a look at the wellknown other side in Theo's shots: Please, not the tiny blue stripe! I wouldn't have ID this one as clymena meridionalis. Looking at some pictures I know why you had this one as clymena, since Theo Prado is quite good in IDing butterflies. However, the white band at the forewing is to my eyes not speaking for Clymena, but for Diaethria candrena candrena, also from Brazil. Take a look at the corresponding links. In my opinion the ID from Theo is wrong.
