Fantastic macro, congrats!
The video is great! It adds so much to a spotting.
Well, I'm impressed! Love the video...another dimension makes a world of difference. Excellent.
these type of photos make me jealous. cool video too!
unbelievably awesome. Should be nominated for the best pic of the week !!
You are a master at macro, stunning detail in all of your work. Others will be blessed to be able to both see, and study from your phot
I guess I missed this but WOW! great stuff!
Thanks for letting me know about the royalty free music in iMovie Albert! I have some videos waiting for upload in which the sound unfortunately really needs to be replaced. Looking forward to see a video with your own music!
Many, many thanks everyone for your great comments on the post! @ Daniele, Sorry for the late reply! I've been very busy lately. The soundtrack in this video is called "Celestial Body". It's a royalty free music provided in iMovie. But I also have some of my musical arrangements floating around the internet. I believe some have been up on YouTube. Next time I will make a video with my own music. =) @ João Mourão, For the photos, I used a Nikon D40 with a reversed 28mm Pentax lens. @ Liam, The Panasonic FZ35 along with a Raynox DCR-250 is a great combination for extreme macro videography. Many bridge cameras nowadays are also capable of recording very good quality video. =)
Incredible spotting! Love the video! It's amazing these were taken with a point-and-shoot! I've heard lots of good about the macro ability of the Leica lenses on those Panasonics.
Peter, thanks for the comments on the wasp. The name is the result of the activity tricking a non parent/species into raising the young.
Superb image. Fantastic details. Would it be too much to ask what is the lens or equipment you used for taking this amazing photo?
Fantastic as usual Albert! Congratulations. Can I ask if you're using your own music in your videos (I've seen you're a musician :-))?
Thank you so much Peter for featuring the wasp. Thanks everyone for the nice comments.
great spotting.. its really more fun in the Philippines..
Incredible series Albert and thanks for sharing the video as well. A well deserved Spotting of the Day! "Clad in gem-like emerald colors, Cucko Wasps are some of the most radiant insects you'll find. They get their name from slipping their eggs into another bee's nest tricking it into raising their young for them" Facebook: http://facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10151184705920603 Twitter: http://twitter.com/projectnoah/status/161234630618529792
