Field Notes

Description:

A male specimen of Hentzia mitrata. I can't find a common name for it. There are some sources that call it the white jumping spider and some that call it the orange headed jumping spider. Hentzia as a genus seems to be little studied. My own observations to the specimen are a keen intelligence, following my hand movements with little trouble, even leading it to food.

Habitat:

USA, Canada, Bahama Islands, is all I can find on this spider's range. Exact specifics elude me.
