I suspected it was a nymph; thanks for the confirmation. I'll keep looking.
Judging from the banded antennae and the small horn between the eyes, it looks like a nymph in the genus Scudderia, a bush katydid. I'm not sure of the Central American species or other genera that might be similar, however, so consider this a tentative ID.
