Field Notes

Description:

Really pretty, colorful beetle. Has a metallic sheen. Mainly green in coloration with some orange and blues. Several black spots. The femur segments of the legs are red.

Habitat:

Found on the roadside during afternoon. They were congregating on the plants, some were on vines and bushes (Jatropha gossypiifolia). My bad for the bad quality pics, I was just passing by and took some quick pics.

Notes:

Coincidentally, I found a jewel bug on the same spot a while ago. Looking at it now, it could be a nymph of this bug:
