Field Notes

Description:

In the 1840's in Australia, drover dogs and the native dingos were crossbred to create these cattle dogs. They are intelligent and eager to please while being independent.

Habitat:

Ranches, active homes

Notes:

Also known as a red or blue heeler. This one is considered a red heeler. The heeler name comes from them nipping at the heels of the animals they are herding.
