Perhaps you could move the second pic of the oil to the first position?

I have a couple posts that are similar showing oil on the beach from this year and they were acceptable. Granted oil is a not a living organism but the signs of wildlife also show non living organisms. I also think having spottings of what the oil looked like a year ago to now makes the mission more meaningful. It may not be a sign of wildlife but the oil itself has greatly affected wildlife. I hope the spotting is not removed.
