Description:

This large plant has a stout, creeping rhizome. It's pseudobulbs are a compressed ovoid shape, and are up to 18cm (7in) long. There is a single leaf about 50cm (20in) long. An inflorescence arises from the base of the pseudobulbs and bears up to 15 flowers.

Habitat:

occurs in Ecuador, Costa Rica, Panamá, and Perú
premontane rain forest of moss-covered trees at a height of 200 to 1500 m
