Field Notes

Description:

This spider measures about 3/8" wide by 3/4" long from head to tail. There are very few images on the internet of this species with this coloring.

Habitat:

Tropical dry forest in NW Costa Rica one month into the six month dry season. The web was no higher than one foot from the forest floor.

Notes:

he was moving so much that it was hard to get a clear shot off.
