Field Notes

Description:

small <1cm tellow spider with two brown dorsal band markings with white spots

Habitat:

This is an amazing restreat! A hole chewed into this leaf possibly by a grass hopper is being used as a web location by this tiny spider. I have seen this several times before. The web of this species is irregular-cobweb and there is a small pocket the spider ducks into to hide fully. The second image shows the spider tentatively emrging to peak out!
