Description:

Snowy owls migrate in this area every year. This year they returned in huge numbers not seen in Boundary Bay since 2006. about 5 years ago. Bird watchers and the general public view and observe them in huge numbers also especially on weekends around the dykes.

Habitat:

Low lying marshlands or tundra where they hunt for rodents. lemmings. other waterfowl like ducks and birds. and maybe even fish.

Beautiful series! They are migrating unusually South this year. We are hoping we may see them in Colorado soon! ...but that may just be wishful thinking!
