Great set! I have a few photos/veideos sets of the Spinner Dolphins from our time living in Oahu, but wasn't lucky enough to see them when we visited the Big Island.

Lovely pictures and moment! Dolphins are friendly and playful animals which regularly do that; it is very common to be surrounded by dolphins in some places for example when sailing and those are magnificent moments indeed =). Also I have noticed that the group behaviour may vary, sometimes they play for a long while, sometimes they seem to be going somewhere and just all swim suddenly along and sometimes they seem to be mating or something and they start literally jumping around....
In the upload screen instead of selecting one at a time and waiting for it to load, I multiple selected.... (hold down CTRL) and for some reason it worked. I'm no tech guru but this may be a loophole in the system...hmmm
One question, how did you managed to upload 7 pictures in this spotting? I thought only 6 photo is allowed per spotting.
Thanks for the recognition and kind words.everyone. Thats the beautiful thing about the world we live in. You never know what might turn up unexpectedly around a corner. I was just out for a casual snorkel and there I was surrounded by dolphins. =)
What a beautiful experience, Aaron! I bet it is a life changing moment :)
What a breathtaking series. Congrats on spotting of the day! "An amazing encounter with a pod of Spinner Dolphins resting at the place of refuge on the big island of Hawaii. They get their name from incredible acrobatic displays where they spin their bodies as they leap through the air." I also have some live video of me swimming alongside them. It was a life changing moment to have over 100 dolphins swim around, under, over, next to you for over 3 hours and look into their eyes and feel their lives. I was just out for a snorkel and was surrounded by these beautiful animals. Even if you tried to swim away they would come closer to you. Very curious and magnificent creatures!
looks like it may be a spotting of the day!
Aaron, there is a marine mammals mission that you might like to add this & your whale spotting to - http://www.projectnoah.org/missions/6544167
