Field Notes

Description:

Spotted this yellow dragonfly-like insect in Southern NSW yesterday. Unsure of the species. It is about 5cm (2") long and has four transparrent wings. Does not have that "helicopter-like" flight of dragonflies, more like a "flutter" similar to butterfly flight.

Thanks Martin for identifying the Lacewing for me. Cheers +1
Sounds like a good enough reason to photograph everything to me! :)
That's a nice spotting Steve. Notice the eggs in the link. Here is a spotting of them http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/19379274
Thanks Staccyh, I was still getting used to the new macro lens, so everything in my garden got photographed.
