Excellent link and great info! Thanks for helping me learn something new.
Serenoa should occur in most counties of Fl. One way to tell the difference between a Saw Palmetto( Serenoa repens) and a juvenile Cabbage Palm (Sabal palmetto) is by looking at the tip of the petiole.Scroll down a bit at this site to see the difference. They look quite different in that respect..have never counted the leaflets. http://fnpsblog.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
I hate to say it but it looks like an immature Sabal or Cabbage Palm to me, especially based on the location information. The saw palmetto usually has no more than 20 leaflets if I remember correctly....
