Having moved from California recently, I was thrilled to find out that Cardinals are common here. The first photo is a male, the second is a female, and the third is a juvenile. The male's song is very cool to hear.

I'm always torn when it comes to these things...the scientist in me says "No, there's no distinguishable proof!" and the birder says "Ahh another lifer".
No, but I think that would be really stupid. There is no break in their range and they look the same
Has anyone heard anything about the proposed split of the Northern Cardinal into an Eastern and Western species?
