Field Notes

Description:

A colony, of approximately 20 small bats. 25'-30' up in a tree so not great photos. Night feeders

Habitat:

In the frond of an Areca palm in the garden - 25'-30' high

Notes:

I first spotted them coming back to roost at dawn, the following evening just after dusk they started to leave the tree for the nights feeding

Can anyone help with an ident for these bats please?. They have returned to roost by day in this Areca Palm in the garden. I have just videoed them leaving the roost this evening, and counted 49 from the one roost. Hope to video them returning at dawn
