Description:
The Blyth's Reed Warbler is a medium-sized warbler, roughly sparrow-size; with plain brown back and pale underparts. The body is slender and elongated, and the bird sports a long white supercilium.
Habitat:
Observed in a pretty much urban setting of periphery of Cox's Bazar, close to beaches and hotels. In between beaches and the main street, there is a number of small agricultural fields (rice/paddy, vegetables), numerous ponds and some marshy lands, and this fella was seen in such wetlands, in vegetation bordering a large pond.
Notes:
The Blyth's reed warbler can easily be confounded with other reed warblers (genus Acrocephalus). At first, I ID-ed as Paddyfield warbler (A. agricola); but then got help from Sayam at e-Bird (thanks mate) to change it...
