Field Notes

Habitat:

Suburban park open fields near canal

Notes:

Seen in very large numbers this past summer at this location. Commonly seen in many locations here in south Florida. Can be confused with Golden-winged Skimmer. All the ones I've photographed are Neehams' though, leading me to believe that it is much more common than the golden in this area.
