Brown lacewing
20.5883, -100.399
Field Notes
Description:
Small Brown Lacewing (Hemerobiidae); forewings are about 3mm long with prominent black veins. Both the larvae and adults are predatory and feed mainly on aphids. Apparently, their closest relation is with the Mantisflies, rather than the Green lacewings. Any suggestions for genus and species are welcome.
Habitat:
Photographed in the city Santiago de Querétaro, in a mild semi-arid climate.
