Description:

The banded peacock or fatima (Anartia fatima) is a species of butterfly found in the southern United States, Mexico, and Central America.

Habitat:

Habitats are subtropical open areas and disturbed places. Host plants are herbaceous and restricted to a few species in one family, Acanthaceae.
