Description:

Large butterfly brown and cream markings underneath contrasting to the white, cream and black on the upper side.

Habitat:

Savannah grassland Derby West Kimberley.

Notes:

According to research its an eastern states species.

Certainly agree with your ID bayucca (female) and I did find references to 'Polyura pyrrhus sempronius' ie. sub species? I think I'll let Martin check this though. Very messy and it's very much his thing.
Forgot one: http://www.troplep.org/TLR/10-1/img012.pdf Maybe some of the Australian ladies or guys might help with the actual taxon. I think it is Polyura sempronius, not Polyura pyrrhus?
