Hi Kat! I'm not sure about the exact breed/mix for this duck but these crests are due to a mutation found in ducks of mallard descent: http://www.domestic-waterfowl.co.uk/crested.htm http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crested_Duck_(domestic_breed)
