Field Notes

Description:

A southamerican bird regularly found near the river Plate´s shore. They generally lays eggs directly on small holes the ground may have and in wide open places; they don´t build nests. They are called "Tero" because the sound they repeatedly make is similar to the word "Tero".

Habitat:

This one was spotted in Uruguay, next to the River Plate but they may be found in many southamerican countries: Uruguay, Argentina, Brasil, Paraguay, Peru, Colombia, Chile and Bolivia
