Field Notes

Description:

Yellow body with lots of black blotches. In this area, kingsnakes are referred to as "sock heads" since they have a completely black head, which is not a characteristic of the subspecies. Just look like this in this area.

Habitat:

Found on the road at night at the base of the Chiricuhua mountains.
