Field Notes
Description:
Galerina is a genus of small brown-spored saprobic mushrooms, with over 300 species found throughout the world, from the far north to remote Macquarie Island in the Southern Ocean. Species are typically small and hygrophanous, with a slender and brittle stem. They are often found growing on wood, and when on the ground have a preference for mossy habitats. This group is most noted for toxic species which are occasionally confused with hallucinogenic species of Psilocybe
Habitat:
for an galerina normaly mostly on moss, therefore i have to research further.
---For the most part, Galerinas will be found associated with moss, and this can separate out the genus in nature fairly well. But this identification is more difficult in the section Naucoriopsis, which does not associate with moss, and is a decomposer of wood.
Notes:
i had made a little big mistake, i forglot to make a picture from beneath/gills. So now i can't decide.
It has the appearence of a Galerina (thought at Galerina pumilla ( http://www.google.nl/search?hl=nl&cp=10&gs_id=12&xhr=t&q=galerina+pumil… ), but it is on the wrong place!!
Then there is Mycena aurantiomarginata --> but strongly the wrong appearence.
And psilocybe muscorum, which i also doubt. This were the specimen which looked most similiar (from the books). But my feeling says: Genus:GALERINA. (maybe he still grows there, will revisit)
