Notes:

My first wild encounter with a Manatee. I was snorkeling off Sandspur Island, and it swam by, it came up for a closer look at me, then stayed with me for a couple of minutes and swam on. I just kind of sat still taking some pics and enjoying the experience.

That is so very cool! I grew up in Florida, and the manatee has always been one of my favorite animals. I even volunteered at Sea World for a while to care for the injured manatees that came in. Love your pics and the encounter you had!
