Description:

medium sized brown bird with characteristic "chink" call

nature preserve

Notes:

Mission trails used to be a wide spot in the road that my family stumbled across when I was about 6. I earned a wilderness girl scout badge there. Now it is a major nature preserve with interpretive trails, a visitor's center and areas off limits to hikers. I have mixed feelings about the place, but mostly, I'm glad to see it preserved and used by generations of families
