I found the info online after guessing that it was some kind of stork. I've never been to Malaysia, but I hear that it's beautiful there!
Thank you very much Leslie4, you know so much about my country and this bird. I really appreciate it.
Distribution: Storm's Stork can be found in peninsular Malaysia, Borneo, Sumatra and extreme southern Thailand. Population size: The population is thought to be between 250 and 500 individuals. The core population are found in Sumatra, Kalimantan and Brunei. Characteristics: This large species of stork measures up to 91cm long. It has black and white plumage with a red bill, orange and yellow skin on its face and red legs. Habitat: Storm's Stork is found at low densities in flat lowland forest, in particular freshwater and peat-swamp forest. Ecology: The Storm's Stork mainly feeds on fish. It is generally a solitary species but is occasionally found in small groups. It nests high up in the trees in a stick platform nest. It lays two eggs which will hatch after approximately 90 days. Threats: The main threats to this species are forest loss and fragmentation as a result of logging and conversion of lowland forest to oil palm plantations. Incidental hunting in some areas is thought to be a minor threat to this species. At Harapan Rainforest: This species can be found in the swamp forest habitat at Harapan Rainforest. Patches of this habitat are being surveyed for the presence of this species. (http://harapanrainforest.org/storms-stork)
