Field Notes

Description:

Red bellied moth. Top has blue and black bands over the abdomen. The feelers were very feathery, like a Silkworm moth's. Black wings with white polka dots on them. Very pretty. The blue on the back bands is very bright. Similar to the Polka Dot Wasp Moth.

Habitat:

Found on a tropical island in a garden near a forest.

Notes:

Sipped on nectar from the flowers. The closest I could find to this is the American Polka Dot Wasp Moth.
