Notes:

These two pines have "mated" for life by growing together. They are approx. the same diameter and height, so I assume that they were fused together at an early age. These live out in my woods and I love visiting them to see how they change from year to year.

Thanks Cody :) Shea, that is an interesting point...I'll have to take a closer look to see if anything unusual stands out. :) In my mind, I tell myself that they loved each other so much that they decided to unite for eternity, or until one of them falls ;)

I know that pine trees often grow around objects that are embedded in their bark. It would be very interesting if there was once something stuck between the trees very long ago that made them fuse together.
