Wonderful capture, Tony!! mpvettch, in Europe, hawks are called buzzards...it is a buteo, related to our Red-Tails and Broad-Wings (and many others).
Hi dxmgs1, Buteo lineatus and Buteo jamaicensis are not the same species.
Hi dxmgs 1, thank you for the suggestion but the Buteo jamaicensis doesn't live in Holland.
Lovely! The darkness gives this an atmospheric quality.
