It was a suggestion of Juan di Trani, and it was SIPROETA Stelenes.
Do you have a source for this Phileathria estelenes?
OK, 1:0. I hope there are not some nasty surprises coming upon me...
Bayucca, I checked some butterflies with a local expert, and he helped me on their ID. So, I will be posting his conclusions as I fix them. The first one is this: you were right, it is a Philaethria, more specifically P. estelenes. You made a point, pal.
It is the other one: Philaethria sp., Philaethria dido is the most common one, but there are some other species looking identical. I can check later to get a little bit closer.
Can you put a word in for me too? :)
Plenty of butterflies here. And because I complained about their bad shape, somebody sent a brand new set... :-)
I envy you spotting a butterfly in January Sergio! Nothing around here except the odd fly!
