Oh, and this is possibly the subspecies Chortophaga viridifasciata viridifasciata.
Nice spotting! Chortophaga viridifasciata is called the Northern Green-striped Grasshopper, but it is found all over the East Coast. Yours is the green variation I've been looking for!
