Description:

Very black glossy, long tailed bird with distinctive splayed forked tail, maybe 300mm long

Habitat:

Regrowth forests near water in southern India.

Notes:

In Tamil Nadu called 'karuvaatu vaal' which means 'salt fish tail'

Very similar to the Aussie drongo.
