Field Notes

Notes:

I don't know what kind of bird this is, but it hit a window and wasn't moving but when I approached it, it climbed right into my hand. I stayed with it for about an hour and then put it under some brush near where I found it. If anyone knows what kind of bird this is please let me know! I am getting quite attached.

Looks like a Tennessee warbler (Oreothlypis peregrina) in basic plumage.
Welcome to Project Noah, Charlotte.Gruman, I hope you like the site as much we do; there are many features you can explore: I invite you to go to http://www.projectnoah.org/faq where you will find the purpose and “rules” of Project Noah. There is a blog http://blog.projectnoah.org/ where we post articles from spotters with special insight into different organisms. There are also the chats for help with identification, and to comment on your own and others’ spottings. Look at the global and local missions to put your spottings into:http://www.projectnoah.org/missions Enjoy yourself here, see you around!
This looks like a warbler. Do you have any photos from other angles so that we can see the wings, tail and back a little better?
