Field Notes

Description:

On November 14, 2011 our science class went outside to find mushrooms to investigate and try to identify them. The weather was warm and sunny. There has been a large amount of rain recently so the conditions for mushrooms has been perfect. We were able to locate many different types of mushrooms. The mushroom was yellow and was located in the island of the parking lot on the outside of the treeline. We found maggots inside of the mushroom. It’s spore color was white. Its cap was round and it’s stem was straight. The size was like 2.5cm tall. It had a slimey feeling on it’s cap. The gills were attached.
