yeah martinl,the mating ritual takes hours,i dont see the final part,but in the mornig they where gone.the leafs and dirt that you see from where they emerge are( there are douzens spreaded allover this part of the garden) the entrace of the holes that they use to penetrate the soil(i have several spotts of that kind of structure),they steel from one another the materials and from what i see they do this to protect the entrance of the hole,because ther predaters(?)are allways waiting nearby thanks for your comment p.s.i have also photos about a matting of leopard slugs that i'll post soon(i'am in the process of editing the photos,it's a bizarre matting to)
